3. Learner Registration and Enrolment

All learners must be registered by a parent or legal guardian.

During registration, parents or guardians must provide accurate information, including the learner’s name, grade, selected subjects and relevant educational requirements.

The parent or legal guardian is responsible for ensuring that the information provided is accurate and remains up to date.

Enrolment is confirmed once the applicable registration requirements have been completed and payment has been received or an agreed payment arrangement has been accepted.

Parents or guardians may select longer enrolment periods where available.

Enrolments may be renewed for additional three-month periods, subject to the applicable terms communicated at registration.

Requests to discontinue services must be submitted in writing before the next renewal period.

Any cancellation, renewal or notice requirements will be communicated during enrolment.

5. Fees and Payments

Programme fees are displayed on our website or communicated during registration.

Fees may vary depending on the learner’s grade, selected subjects, programme and number of instructional hours.

Payments must be made according to the payment schedule selected during enrolment.

Where recurring payments are offered, parents or guardians authorise the agreed recurring charges through the selected payment provider.

Failure to make payment may result in the suspension of services following appropriate notice.

Junior Creative Academy & Bookclub reserves the right to review its fees periodically. Any changes affecting existing enrolments will be communicated in advance.

6. Discounts and Promotional Offers

Discounts may be offered for selected programmes, subject combinations, prepaid enrolments or promotional campaigns.

All discounts are subject to their advertised conditions.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, discounts cannot be combined.

Junior Creative Academy & Bookclub reserves the right to amend or discontinue promotional offers without affecting discounts already contractually agreed.

7. Class Scheduling and Attendance

Classes are scheduled according to the learner’s selected programme and confirmed timetable.

Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring that learners attend their scheduled classes on time.

Where classes take place online, learners must have access to a suitable device, stable internet connection and an appropriate learning environment.

If a learner cannot attend a scheduled class, the parent or guardian should notify the academy as soon as reasonably possible.

Missed-class, rescheduling and make-up lesson arrangements will be governed by the attendance policy communicated during enrolment.

8. Learner Progress and Reporting

Junior Creative Academy & Bookclub monitors learner development through lesson observations, assessments and tutor feedback.

Tutors may record attendance, topics covered, learning objectives, progress indicators and recommendations following each lesson.

Progress reports are reviewed by the academy before being made available to parents or guardians through the parent dashboard.

Progress reports are intended to support learning and should not be interpreted as guarantees of academic performance.

9. Parent Dashboard

Registered parents or guardians may receive access to a secure online dashboard.

Depending on the services enrolled in, the dashboard may provide access to:

  • Learner profiles and enrolled programmes.
  • Class schedules.
  • Lesson progress reports.
  • Tutor feedback.
  • Payment schedules and payment history.
  • Relevant academy communications.

Parents and guardians are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials.

Unauthorised access to another learner’s information is prohibited.

10. Consultations

Junior Creative Academy & Bookclub may offer introductory consultations through Zoom or another approved video conferencing platform.

Consultations are subject to availability and must be booked through the designated booking system.

Parents or guardians are responsible for providing accurate contact information and attending at the confirmed time.

Consultations provide an opportunity to discuss educational needs, programme suitability and available services.

A consultation does not automatically guarantee enrolment or placement in a particular programme.

11. Educational Outcomes

Our programmes are designed to support academic development, literacy, communication and learning confidence.

However, educational outcomes depend on various factors, including attendance, learner participation, individual learning needs and continued practice.

Junior Creative Academy & Bookclub does not guarantee specific examination results, school grades or academic outcomes.

13. Refunds and Cancellations

Refunds and cancellations are subject to the applicable enrolment agreement, the nature of the service and relevant South African consumer protection legislation.

Any applicable cancellation fees must be reasonable and lawful.

Where legislation provides a consumer with cancellation or refund rights, those rights will take precedence over conflicting contractual provisions.
