About Us
An online reading and tutoring community where imagination knows no bounds and learning is always an adventure.
Our Story!
When children can’t read, they’re left behind in school, miss out on opportunities, and lose the confidence that comes with knowledge. In South Africa, around 8 in 10 Grade 4 learners can’t yet read for meaning, and many are never taught to read in their home language.
It doesn’t have to be this way. Junior Creative was started to change that story, one young reader at a time. We believe every child has the potential not just to read, but to thrive. By nurturing a love of reading and giving children the support they need, we’re helping to raise a new generation of confident South African readers, writers and leaders.

Philosophy & Mission
Our mission is simple: to ignite a creative spark in every junior reader. Whether your child loves solving mysteries, exploring faraway lands or inventing their own stories, there’s a place for them here. We don’t just read. We dream, we discuss big ideas, and we expand the boundaries of knowledge, because reading should never feel like a chore. It should be a gift.
Helping Your Child Explore, Grow, & Learn
Our tutoring programmes are designed around your child’s exact needs, big or small. Whether they’re learning to read for the first time, improving their Afrikaans, or finally understanding why 11 + 11 is 22 and not 1111, we’ve got them covered.
We offer English and Afrikaans reading classes, English tutoring for 9–13-year-olds and young adults, Afrikaans Beginner and Intermediate classes, and Maths tutoring. Children over 8 who can’t yet read or write get extra support with two classes a week. Every session is live, one hour long and led by a caring tutor, and you can cancel your membership anytime at no extra cost.
